today was a really fun day.
flashback to may of 2017. via instagram, @tyler_malad found my instagram, gave a couple likes, and began following me. noticing he was based out of san clemente as well, i stalked his account a little and gave him a follow. we began direct messaging each other pretty soon after, and talked almost daily for about 2 months. we exchanged photos from shoots, and talked about everything from photography to school to vacations during the summer.
one day, tyler came me with this amazing idea of hosting a model and photographer meet-up, where we could meet and get to know fellow OC photographers and models. photographers such as drew hersch and sam dameshek had hosted these before, and it sounded like fun, so we co-hosted our own, based in our home city san clemente. we began promoting it on our own social media a few weeks before, and tyler and i came up with a plan of what we would do.
sunday, july 16th came and we saw the final turnout of about 23 people, which consisted of my friends, tyler's friends, and people who saw just from the promotions on social media. and it successfully fulfilled our goal: we met new all kinds of people, took pictures, and had a ton of fun.
